The Birdfeeder
Halo Birdie,
The Birdfeeder was birthed In what felt like one of the numbest seasons of my life. During this season my heart’s cry was: Where is God? A silent cry for God echoed in the depths of my soul during that desolate season. For much of my life - I sung the song of despair and lack. Inasmuch so, I yearned for a word from God that I wasn't alone in this.

One day the Lord answered my heart’s cry as I walked by the Experimental building at Texas Tech University, I saw in what looked like a vision, the hand of God descending from the clouds with a handful of seeds. He opened His hand and the seeds fell in a field of grass right in front of us. I then saw a swarm of birds coming from many directions to partake in the meal God gifted them with! As I saw those beautiful birds all gather around the field, partaking in Heaven’s meal, hope sparked in my heart! God, the ultimate Provider, had invaded my world with a tangible reminder of His love.

There will be seasons in our life where we seek to find God’s coordinates or our lack sings louder. In those seasons, listen to the birds of the air and the songs that escape their beaks. You will begin to hear the tunes of a creation that doesn't worry but instead trust that their creator will care for them. Soon, your heart too will begin to sing a new song!
I love you. And I hope something or someone makes you smile today!
Signed,
